Date: 17 Sep 2015 – 21 Sep 2015

My birthday trip in 2015 was to Hong Kong, our all-time favourite holiday destination. It was also our 1st holiday during our 2nd pregnancy. My parents & brother joined us and we were grateful that we had extra helping hands to take care of our 26 months old R.

Changed into new clothes just before landing cos she soiled her clothes.

The 3 of us

We stayed at Metropark Hotel Mongkok. Think it was newly renovated when we were there in 2015.

Cold snack before dinner.

First night dinner was at 一點心, a small dim sum place in Prince Edward. It is always compared with Tim Ho Wan. Since my parents tried Tim Ho Wan in their previous trip, we brought them here to try. There was a queue when we arrived at 09:30PM! Lucky the wait wasn’t long.

To the happiest place on earth (again)!

Oh my, look at the queues… But actually, there was hardly any queues at the attractions @ Fantasyland that day! Maybe everyone was at the other attractions.

R went on the carousel for at least 5 or 6 times…

Tea cup at least 3 times.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant for at least 5 or 6 times too!

Dinner at 牛角… and the nightmare started.

I started to feel nauseous towards the end of dinner. My quick witted mum sensed something was wrong and caught my puke with one of the empty bowls *YUCKS*. It was terribly embarrassing and I still felt unwell. Rushed to the ladies and vomited another time.

We left the restaurant and window shopped along Mong Kok. My mum went to a random shop to request for a plastic bag, just in case I need it. And she was right! I vomited again within the next 5 mins. So upset that I had to go through this on my birthday! My funny mum told me that it was my morning sickness… I wondered what I ate wrong and why I was the only one unwell. Perhaps because pregnant women are more vulnerable to food poisoning. I also had some tummy issue during our London trip when I was pregnant with R.

Celebrated my birthday…

JR’s supper for the night.

I was still unwell the next day so we (JR, me & R) stayed in the hotel. My parents & brother went out by themselves but we joined them in the evening when I was much better.
