CNY eve (27 Jan 2017)

Had reunion lunch with my in-laws this year. Food was ready by 11 am but nobody turned up cos my bil had to pick his wife up from her office at 12. Mil was hiding in her room, no idea what she was doing \ud83d\ude02… maid was busy too downstairs decorating the house herself and I took care of our 3 kiddos while JR prepared the food.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It was like having CNY reunion lunch on my own \ud83d\ude02… Still nobody at 12:45 pm and I was famished! The boys were starting to throw tantrums as it was their nap time. I’m not going to wait for them! I’m eating first!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Back to my parents’ place for reunion dinner \ud83d\ude0d… Same same but different – same soup base but different food.<\/p>\n

CNY Day 1 (28 Jan 2017)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u65b0\u5e74\u5feb\u4e50\uff0c\u606d\u559c\u606d\u559c everyone!<\/p>\n

On every CNY’s eve night, JR and my mil will visit the Guan Yin temple at Waterloo Street. They went out at 10:30PM and this year R wanted to tag along. I stayed home with the boys. It was past midnight when they got home \ud83c\udfe1 and was 1:30am when we finally hit the bed.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

All ready to start the new year with SIA’s ang bao packets this year…<\/p>\n

The first thing to do on CNY is to \u62dc\u5e74. We went mil’s room to \u62dc\u5e74 and my bil & sil also did the same to us.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Had \u6c64\u5706 after that. Love the ginger soup!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Peanuts fillings<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Black sesame, my favourite!<\/p>\n

We spent the next few hours visiting relatives\u00b4. Had our lunch at JR’s grandmother’s place and then to my parents’ for dinner.<\/p>\n

A feast was prepared for all of us. Thank you mummy!<\/p>\n

Nothing much to post for Day 2 as we ate by ourselves at home. We had visitors at our place so we didn’t went out.<\/p>\n
