Date:<\/strong> 09 March 2012 Friday<\/p>\n

Our planned itinerary for Hong Kong was 10 Mar to 14 Mar 2012. However, the flight loads for 10 Mar were quite full so we decided to fly earlier. JR arranged a meeting with his Hong Kong agency so he intended to take the 1st flight on 9th. I intended to take the 3+ PM flight as I was required to perform the 2nd month-end close in the morning. As the departure date approached, the load for JR”s flight didn’t look good. We packed our luggage on Wednesday night, in case JR changed his flight again. And we were right! JR had to change his flight again. He flew off for Hong Kong on the 8th. The last flight was very empty and he had a whole row of seats to himself.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Brought my luggage to office! I only had my personal handbag and another laptop bag.<\/p>\n

My 3+ PM flight was -ve! I had no choice but to rush for the 1:30 PM flight! I had to leave office earlier, at 12+ PM. My colleagues kept chasing me off as they were worried that I couldn’t catch the flight.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, when I was having all the excitement of catching my flight, JR was enjoying himself in Hong Kong :). He bought our admission tickets to Ocean Park.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Reached Changi Airport Terminal 3 and proceed to the check in counter. The flight was full! I was placed on the waiting list with many others.<\/p>\n

It was almost 1 PM when the waiting list for our flight was reviewed. There were no seats left :(… Just when I started to feel disappointed, the girl from the family of 3 gave up her ticket since her parents couldn’t get their tickets. There was 1 seat available after she released her ticket! I had the highest priority on the waiting list so the seat was mine! Hurray!<\/p>\n

My boarding pass was printed and I was required to be escorted to the customs entrance since it was less than 1\/2 hour before flight departure. While we were moving off, the counter staff realised that there was a passenger who had higher priority than me… We had to return to the counter. Oh no, there goes my seat! When I was grunting in disappointment, I overheard the counter staff commenting to his manager that I did not have any check in baggage. After reviewing the situation, they finally decided to give me the seat since I didn’t have any check in baggage.<\/p>\n

It was already 1:05 PM! I had to run to the boarding gate! Go go go!<\/p>\n

Finally boarding the plane. There were other passengers who just arrived at the boarding gate. I wasn’t that late after all. Wondered what jump seat refers to because I got a normal seat.<\/p>\n

Pan-roasted chicken breast with rosemary sauce, served with vegetables and potatoes<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Arrived Hong Kong at about 5 PM. I spent almost 1\/2 hour queuing up at the Hong Kong customs. After getting out from the arrival hall, I found my way to B17 counter to get my ticket for the airport shuttle to Metropark Mongkok.<\/p>\n

My ticket. I’m taking the 18:15 PM bus.<\/p>\n

19:15 PM Metropark Hotel Mongkok<\/strong><\/p>\n

JR was waiting for me in his room when I reached the hotel. Toured the room before leaving for dinner.<\/p>\n

Weird pillar in the middle of the room. There’s a study table behind the pillar.<\/p>\n
