As usual, JR over ordered again! We were surprised at the big portion of food served, especially the \u00e6\u00b5\u00b7\u00e9\u00b2\u0153\u00e9\u2026\u00b8\u00e8\u00be\u00a3\u00e6\u00b1\u00a4 Hot & Sour Seafood Soup. We only managed to drink 1\/4 of it. The abalone were delicious! You have to put the whole piece into your mouth to feel the crispness.<\/p>\n

15:00 PM Moving on<\/strong><\/p>\n

After lunch, we went to Toys R Us and bought boardgames. Saboteur was really cheap. we bought it to replace our the missing pieces in our current pack. We continued shopping before entering the Apple Store next to the mall. The glass structure of the store is similar to that in NYC and it\u00c2\u00a0 is equally packed with people.<\/p>\n

Walk, walk and walk… Did some shopping along the Nanjing East Road. There’s nothing much interesting here. Our tired feet gave up so we took a cab to \u00e7\u201d\u00b0\u00e5\u00ad\u0090\u00e5\u009d\u0160 Tian Zi Fang.<\/p>\n

\u00e7\u201d\u00b0\u00e5\u00ad\u0090\u00e5\u009d\u0160 Tian Zi Fang is really beautiful with its building and ambiance. As the day was getting dark, I didn’t manage to take many photos. There are a number of interesting stores but the stuff are not cheap hence we didn’t buy anything there.<\/p>\n

18:50 PM Back at <\/strong>\u00e5\u008d\u2014\u00e4\u00ba\u00ac\u00e4\u00b8\u0153\u00e8\u00b7\u00af Nanjing East Road<\/strong><\/p>\n

We took the metro back to Nanjing East Road.<\/p>\n

Walked along Nanjing East Road again and tried to find the Fake Market. Perhaps we got the address wrong. We went searching for free WiFi. We found that the Fake Market closes at 6 PM, so we decided to go there another day. We also wanted to try the famous hairy crabs for dinner. JR found a famous restaurant but it closes at 8:30 PM! Why do stores close so early here? We continued strolling along Nanjing East Road and saw \u00e5\u00a4\u00a7\u00e5\u00a8\u02dc\u00e6\u00b0\u00b4\u00e9\u00a5\u00ba Da Niang Dumplings. JR recalled reading it somewhere that it was recommended.<\/p>\n

DQ Drink.. We\u00c2\u00a0 wanted the mango drink but it was sold out. So we chose the Blackberry Storm. It was quite nice too.<\/p>\n

20:40 PM Exploring Shanghai<\/strong><\/p>\n

We bought something from BreadTalk before heading back to the hotel, in case we get hungry later. JR wanted to check out the location of the Fake Market, so we walked on further. We failed to find the Fake Market and were really exhausted, hence we took a cab back to the hotel.<\/p>\n

A really expensive trip back to the hotel. JR chit chatted with the cab driver along the way back.<\/p>\n

23:40 PM Supper Time<\/strong><\/p>\n

Back at the hotel. We went to the reception to check if the hotel has available room with King sized bed but the receptionist said that the earliest date for the room was on the 12th! That’s our last night in Shanghai already! JR considered upgrading our room since it was only S$40 more but considering that we would be here for the 7 more nights, it would cost us S$280 more!<\/p>\n
