We began our 1 week DBIB course today. We gathered in the hotel lobby in the morning for the chartered bus to FGV. Almost all of the coursemates were staying in the same hotel. Anyway, we started day 1 of the DBIB course and lessons ended in the mid afternoon for a outdoor networking trip to P\u00c3\u00a3o de A\u00c3\u00a7\u00c3\u00bacar<\/em>, the Sugarloaf Mountain!<\/p>\n

My cable car ticket<\/p>\n

Passengers are required to take two cable cars to reach the summit of the P\u00c3\u00a3o de A\u00c3\u00a7\u00c3\u00bacar.<\/em> The first cable car will bring us to the shorter Morro <\/em>de A\u00c3\u00a7\u00c3\u00bacar<\/em> and the second one to P\u00c3\u00a3o de A\u00c3\u00a7\u00c3\u00bacar. <\/em>The P\u00c3\u00a3o de A\u00c3\u00a7\u00c3\u00bacar <\/em>is a peak situated in Rio de Janeiro, at the mouth of Guanabara Bay. It got its name, Sugarloaf Mountain, as it resembles the traditional shape of concentrated refined loaf sugar.<\/p>\n

The P\u00c3\u00a3o de A\u00c3\u00a7\u00c3\u00bacar<\/em><\/p>\n

Waiting for the next ride up to the P\u00c3\u00a3o de A\u00c3\u00a7\u00c3\u00bacar.<\/em><\/p>\n

It was already dark when we finally reached the summit of P\u00c3\u00a3o de A\u00c3\u00a7\u00c3\u00bacar. <\/em>The sky wasn’t clear that evening hence we didn’t get to see the sunset.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Can you see that bright light at the top left hand corner of the photo? That’s not a star! It’s the statue of Christ the Redeemer!<\/p>\n

We went back down to the Morro de A\u00c3\u00a7\u00c3\u00bacar<\/em> for a cocktail networking session organised for us.<\/p>\n

Returning … waiting for the cable car again to bring us back down.<\/p>\n

We were brought back to the hotel straight after the networking event. We ended our day 3 in Brazil without dinner…<\/p>\n
