\nOn our way to our next destination.<\/p>\n

\nReached our desired destination – Jonker Street.<\/p>\n

We parked our car at a small lane along the Melaka River.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Melaka River Cruise<\/p>\n

This is a 45 minutes cruise down the Melaka River. RM10 for adult \/ RM5 for children.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Jonker Street, also known as antique street, is a must visit place in Melaka. Jonker Street will be closed from traffic between 6 PM to 12 MN every Fridays and weekends. Stalls will line up along the narrow street to offer great bargains.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Goodies! We bought a total of RM47 worth of tarts and biscuits to be brought\u00c2\u00a0back to Singapore.<\/p>\n

16:00 PM<\/strong>
\nWe were famished after all the walking. JR was really interested in the chicken rice balls in Melaka. We found 2 chicken rice shops along the street, Famosa & Hoe Kee. Which one is better??? Hard decision.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Chosen Ho Kee! 2 reasons. Firstly, the more classy \/ commercialised (e.g. air-conditioned) the chicken rice shops are, the less quality of food you will be getting.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We were brought to table number 9.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Chicken rice balls!!!<\/p>\n

Second reason – You will never find roasted chicken in traditional Hainanese Chicken rice! I spotted roasted chicken in Famosa’s shop which Hoe Kee doesn’t have.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Delicious! It was fragrant, springy and salty enough. We could even eat it on its own!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Look at JR’s angry face! We were fighting over the chicken rice balls…<\/p>\n

\nWe continued shopping along Jonker Street after the great meal. Initially wanted to try the Cendol they have there but we were too full to put anything into our mouths.<\/p>\n

\nBack along Melaka River where we had parked our car.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Where shall we go next? After some discussion, we decided to drive back to Singapore. We intend to save the money for our next trip in December. We took off, in search of the nearest petrol kiosk to top up the petrol tank.<\/p>\n

17:15 PM<\/strong>
\nThe long journey back home.<\/p>\n

We took an alternate route back instead of entering the highway at Jasin.\u00c2\u00a0 We took a slow drive through “kampongs” and passed by many cows. Mooooo!<\/p>\n

We were on this bridge on the way home.<\/p>\n

18:35 PM<\/strong>
\nWe entered the highway at Pagoh. JR started to turn on “HIS” turbo engine.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Speeding at 140Km\/h.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I’m unable to take a proper photo as the car was travelling at such a fast speed.<\/p>\n

19:45 PM<\/strong>
\nOut of highway.<\/p>\n

Toll fee – RM17.60 + RM2.10<\/p>\n

20:05 PM<\/strong>
\nReached Johor Bahru. The most important thing that most Singaporean drivers will do is to top-up their car’s petrol tank before heading back to Singapore.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

RM44.61 for 18.21 litres of petrol<\/p>\n

Initially we thought of having our usual seafood dinner in JB before returning to Singapore but both of us were not that hungry to take another big meal. Let’s go back then.<\/p>\n

18:15 PM<\/strong>
\nThere was not a single queue at the Malaysia’s custom! We just drove directly into the custom’s station. Our happiness was short-lived. There was a jam at Singapore’s custom!<\/p>\n

We waited… patiently…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

20:40 PM<\/strong>
\nThe jam was not as bad as we had expected. On our way back HOME!<\/p>\n

21:10 PM<\/strong>
\nDinner at Kallang McDonalds…<\/p>\n

21:45 PM<\/strong>
\nHOME SWEET HOME! We were totally exhausted that we KO at 11 PM.<\/p>\n

The pink colour ones are Strawberry Pineapple tarts.. Really special.<\/p>\n

The crust of the pineapple tarts melts in our mouth.<\/p>\n
