FAMILY DAY<\/strong><\/p>\n

We were woken up at 9 AM in the morning! So early… We were given 1\/2 hour to wash and dress up as JR’s father was already waiting for us downstairs.<\/p>\n

9:45 AM Breakfast<\/strong><\/p>\n

We made our way to Victor’s Kitchen<\/a> @ Sunshine Plaza for breakfast. BUT it’s not open yet! We were too early. It will only open at 10:30 AM, so we decided to have Wanton Mee next door.<\/p>\n

We ordered an extra bowl of fried wantons.<\/p>\n

The wantons were extremely crispy but there was hardly any meat wrapped in them. Feel like eating the “skin” only. But nevertheless, they are still nice.<\/p>\n

10:45 AM Cars Viewing<\/strong><\/p>\n

COE prices for Category A (Cars 1600cc and below, and taxis) have fallen to $2 in the latest round of COE bidding. JR’s parents are thinking of changing their small Honda Jazz to a bigger car hence we decided to drop by the Honda and Toyota showrooms.<\/p>\n

Saw this giant – Toyota Fortuner.<\/p>\n

Nowhere to go after that…. Let’s go BATAM! Haha, all of us had brought our passports along with us that day. We just couldn’t decide to go or not to go earlier. We drove down to Harbour Front.<\/p>\n

We can check in immediately after getting our tickets. So good, we don’t have to wait.<\/p>\n

We wanted to hire a cab to Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre but all the drivers there refused to drive us in 1 single car. We had to split into 2 since there are 5 of us. We found out that the Megamall provides shuttle bus service for its customers to some of the nearby hotels.<\/p>\n

We were required to produce a receipt from any of the shops in Megamall in order to take the shuttle bus.<\/p>\n

We alighted at the final stop – Nagoya Hotel and took a slow walk to Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre.<\/p>\n

We managed to squeeze into a cab on the way back to Megamall Batam Centre for 50K IDR.<\/p>\n

18:10 PM (BT) Batam Centre Ferry Terminal<\/strong><\/p>\n

JR & JZ getting the 19:30 PM (BT) ferry tickets back to Singapore. We dropped by the Polo Ralph Lauren stall there and the Indomart before check in. JR, JZ & I bought a Polo Tee each.<\/p>\n
