JR came across an interesting idea from the Internet and decided to create our own rainbow art.

Bought our crayons.

Faber Castell – 48 colours.

But first we decided to perform UAT, with a smaller box of crayons.

The testing board. The effect should be better on canvas.

Cutted into halves.

Drew a couple picture at the right hand bottom of the board, covered with masking tape.

Taped the crayons at the top of the board.

Melting the crayons with the hair dryer.

It took sometime before the crayons started to melt.

It didn’t turn out as nice as expected.

Further research was done. It was the brand of the crayons… We will try again soon…

Commerical Supplies Dept won the competition which I didn’t have any photo as they aren’t located in ALH. Payrolls and Finance Planning & Control Depts won 2nd and 3rd respectively. We? We got the 4th prize, together with Overseas Accounting Dept.

Christmas season was here and once again we took part in the inter-departmental contest. This year we were supposed to design our Christmas house using recycled materials. We split the work. Betty & I were in charge of the interior of the house while ACB and ZY were responsible to “build” the house.

Trying out our little experiment…

The baking tools.

The Crust

Unsalted butter and digestives biscuits

To be crushed.

To be melted.

Pour the digestives biscuits crumbs  in a large bowl.

Mix in the melted butter until well combined. Press the crust evenly and firmly over the bottom of the baking tin. Refrigerate it while preparing the filling.

The Filling

Philadelphia cream cheese, egg yolks, whipping cream, water, grated lemon zest, castor sugar.

Pour the fillingover the crust and smoothen the surface. Refrigerate again while preparing the lemon curd.

The Lemon Curd

Made of lemon juice, sugar, egg yolks and butter.

Pour the lemon curd over the cheesecake. Refrigerate until firm.

The final product – Lemon Cheesecake

Yummy… though it was a little soft…
